A healthy eating plan involves reducing your portion size of those unhealthy foods, rather than eliminating them from your diet. It is a good idea to eat the healthier items first. For example serve yourself a good serving of lean meat, plenty of vegetables, and a small amount of potatoes. Eat the meat and vegetables first. This way if you get full before you finish the foods you have consumed were all good for you.

Try to identify the times when you eat the most junk food. If it is right after work because you are too hungry to wait until dinner, start carrying a piece of fruit or some raw vegetables in your car. Munch on them as you drive home. This will reduce your hunger at that point. Do you grave as you watch TV in the evening? Don’t do this as it is difficult to monitor the amount of food you consume.

Instead of sitting on the couch with a bag of potato chips, put a specific amount in a bowl. Once they are gone, that is it. If you find you eat for comfort then find something else to do with your time. Exercise, take up a hobby, or call a friend. Keeping your hands busy means you won’t have them available to put food into your mouth. A healthy eating diet plan doesn’t mean you have to cut yourself off from all the foods you love. It simply means eating them in moderation.

A healthy eating diet plan doesn’t have to be expensive or extravagant. It simply needs to provide your body with enough food that it feels satisfied. It also has to contain healthy foods that are good for you. Making some minor changes to your eating habits as well as the amount of food you consume will help you look and feel better.
